Biography

Robert Schad's works of art are made out of solid square steel of various diameters which he develops into architectural ornamental sculptures. The artist living in France develops his steel sculptures out of a repertoire of welded steel forms. Prominent works of Schad are situated in spacious representative buildings, for example is the sculpture 'Courante' with its 10 metres height and 40 tons weight situated within the atrium of the German Ministry of Finance in Berlin since 2001. Another sculpture is placed in the Baden-Württemberg parliament building in Stuttgart.
