Biography
Holly Roberts lives and works in New Mexico, United States. Photographs of people she is acquainted with form the basis for her artwork. The pictures undergo a decisive emotional painting process. Eventually they tell stories about situations and events. As a result of her method, fairytale-like depictions of people with wolf heads and unrealistic thin limbs arise. Everything appears to originate out of a rare and deep systematic imagination. She manages to win the spectator over with her figurative language in no time.
