Biography
MK Kaehne was born in 1963 in Vilnius and studied free painting at the art academy in Berlin Weissensee from 1983 until 1988. Soon after he left the academy he started to design and build objects. Contradiction and tension is the inspiration for the artist. Objects that seem to insinuate functionality at first glance, although they are obviously not meant to be leave the spectator unsure about the nature of the objects. By combining this with his effortlessness and strive for perfect finishes he does create astounding works of art.
